Semarang, March 31, 2026 — The Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (FH Undip) held a Halal Bi Halal gathering on Tuesday (31/3) in the corridor of the Prof. Dr. Satjipto Rahardjo, S.H. Building, Semarang. This event served as an important opportunity to strengthen ties among the academic community following the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The event opened with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati. In her remarks, she stated that Halal Bi Halal is a tradition that not only symbolizes mutual forgiveness but also serves as a means of strengthening togetherness and harmony within the campus environment.
She also emphasized the importance of upholding family values, integrity, and a spirit of collaboration in supporting academic activities and institutional development. “The momentum of Eid al-Fitr should be a reflection to continuously improve ourselves, both as individuals and as part of an educational institution,” she said.
The event then continued with a sermon by Dr. K.H. Eman Sulaeman’s keynote address focused on the importance of sincerity, forgiveness, and maintaining brotherhood in daily life. In his speech, he encouraged all attendees to use Eid al-Fitr as a starting point for improving interpersonal relationships and increasing their devotion to God Almighty.
A warm atmosphere prevailed throughout the event, which was attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and students from the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University. The event concluded with a communal prayer and a friendly gathering, during which all participants shook hands as a symbol of mutual forgiveness.
With this Halal Bi Halal event, it is hoped that the entire Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, will become more united and harmonious in carrying out their respective roles, both in academics and in community service.
